On Wednesday evening, Conservative Councillors attended full Council. The full Council meeting had a packed agenda, lasting until 10 p.m. Excellent questions were asked by the Conservative Group and local residents, with Motions also submitted by the three main political parties.
This week, Conservative Councillors for Hipperholme and Lightcliffe and local residents presented their petition to Calderdale Council’s Place Scrutiny Board for new play area equipment in the Bailiff Bridge Park, with Council officers and Councillors promising to help residents find investments
Last week, Conservative Councillors attended the first full Council meeting since the Local Elections. The meeting’s agenda was short by previous standards, but the meeting offered much, with both the Conservative and Labour Groups submitting motions.
Last night’s Council meeting had a packed agenda which included a few strange talking points, and intriguing admissions from the Labour Group – not to mention their motion which argued in favour of making electoral fraud easier.
The Labour-run Calderdale Council is seeking to sell Hipperholme Library at auction on Tuesday 19 July, despite an ongoing Government investigation inquiring into alleged deficiencies in the Council’s decision-making process.
Councillors are calling for action to secure The Stray in Lightcliffe after travellers arrived at the park for the second time in the space of a month.
