Leader of the Conservative Group
Shadow Cabinet Member for Adults Health and Social Care
Local Councillor for Brighouse Ward
  • Councillors

Having first been elected for Brighouse in 2008, Howard has now served the people of the area for over 12 years. Howard has recently been re-elected by the people of Brighouse, at the 2022 local election.

Over the last few years, Howard has been Chair of the Adults Health and Social Care Scrutiny Board, a board which has been extremely active. We carried out a scrutiny relating to the Covid pandemic, which was really successful and produced some excellent outcomes.

As a ward councillor for Brighouse, Howard has been extremely active in opposing the Local Plan and all the additional houses without the necessary infrastructure – the fight still continues.
