With the Local Elections coming up on May 2nd and a General Election later in the year, residents will naturally be considering what each political party has done for Calderdale.
Reader should be aware that Calderdale Council is currently under the tight grip of overall Labour control, with 28 Labour councillors making decisions about policies and plans as they wish. One such example is the Local Plan.
Residents need to be aware of the failures of the Princes Buildings Project by the Labour-run Calderdale Council. Councillor Howard Blagbrough urges residents to read the report on the project and said, “It is a very worrying example of mismanagement and weak leadership.”
At the last full Council meeting in November, Councillors Steven Leigh and Howard Blagbrough presented a motion to the Council calling for the full electrification of the Calder Valley Railway.
